Cindy Delpart

BiographyCindy Delpart’s early life revolved around the Saskatchewan prairie landscape, now a fundamental inspiration for the abstract expressionist paintings that transport her from the physical world to a place of personal imagination and introspection. She studied graphic design at George Brown College in Toronto, ON from 1974-1976. Since then, she has resided in Calgary, AB, where she has infused her artistic temperament into all aspects of her life. Although Delpart lives and paints in Calgary most of the year, she sometimes works from her rustic studio nestled in a community of artisans and farmers overlooking the Missouri Coteau in southwestern Saskatchewan. Here, in the vast landscape that traces and reveals her childhood roots, Delpart derives the artistic strength that permeates the core of her being.

Delpart has continued to study and train throughout her career, at Emma Lake workshops and residencies, River Rock Studios in Cochrane, and at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
She exhibits regularly throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan in solo and group shows. She is represented by Masters Gallery (Calgary, AB), Blue Rock Gallery (Black Diamond, AB), and Artlink Canada (Vancouver, BC), and her work is held in the collections of ConocoPhillips Canada Resources Corp., Encana Corporation, Cenovus Energy, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, among others.
