Catherine Burgess
Burgess graduated from the University of Alberta in 1975 with a BFA. In 1974, she attended Yale at Norfolk at Yale University, Connecticut. She has participated in the Triangle Artists Workshop in Pine Plains, New York; the Hardingham Sculpture Workshop in Norfolk, England; and the Emma Lake Artists’ Workshop in northern Saskatchewan. She also partook in expeditions on the Old Man River and to McIntyre Ranch that were organized by the Canadian Art Odysseys Society. Burgess has served as a visiting artist to university level art schools and programs across Alberta and in Ontario and has worked as a sessional lecturer for the University of Alberta. Her works are found in public collections across Canada. She lives and works in Edmonton.
