Robert Dalton
Dalton’s scholarly interests include: spontaneous art production, multicultural issues in art and education, art criticism, gender identity development and its expression in children’s art and play. Throughout his academic career, he has consistently produced and exhibited artwork regionally and nationally in solo and group shows, and plans to continue doing so in retirement. Through photography, painting, and mixed media, he explores the nature of perception, the processes of plants and animals, cultural symbols, and collective mythology. His work can be found in the collections of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Medicine Hat College, the City of Medicine Hat, Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, and Esso Resources.
