Brandon Atkinson

Brandon Atkinson is a Métis artist who has lived in Edmonton for most of his life. Atkinson started drawing at eight years of age and continues to draw every day. His art is strongly influenced by his grandparents. Atkinson’s work was featured in the Art in the Heart exhibition at City Hall in 2015. Atkinson’s intricate pen-drawn art incorporates jagged and cursive lines reminiscent of heavy metal music. A self-taught artist, he draws animals of Canada. Each of his drawings encompasses a story.
