Enjoying the freedom and versatility oil paint offers, Ingrid creates bold images inspired by the Impressionist masters. Her pieces feature figures and landscapes, as well as figures in water, which allow her to play with light and reflection. Her vibrant pieces convey personal feelings and emotions while capturing the way the light touches on and plays with her subject. Using a variety of techniques to achieve interesting texture on the canvas, Ingrid invites the viewer into her personal perceptions of truth and heart.

Ingrid’s work has been exhibited in British Columbia, Alberta, Maine and Arizona. She won gold medals at the Art Visions Exhibitions in 2009 and 2010 in Kelowna, British Columbia and was the winner of the Prix Chapeau at the Symposium International Jean-Paul Lapointe in Chicoutimi, Quebec. Ingrid has created pieces for a variety of clients, including the Alberta Pharmacy Association. Her paintings are held in private collections throughout the world and by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
