Lawrence Eisler

Lawrence Eisler is a photographer and teacher in the School of Architecture, Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary. He explores the architecture, landscape, artifacts, and cultures of our world, and constantly challenges how and what he sees. Eisler approaches photography in ways that enhance and embrace the dance with chance. He luxuriates in the entire process of photography, from the shooting, developing, and printing, to ultimately their presentation.
Eisler received his Bachelor degree in Architecture from the University of Manitoba in 1984. He has exhibited his photographs at the EVDS Gallery at the University of Calgary, and has participated in group exhibitions at Newzones Gallery in Calgary. In addition to his art photography, Eisler also operates a multi-faceted design studio that offers landscape architecture, graphic design, home/office furniture design, interior design, home accessory design, and photographic services.
