Carol Clark

Carol Clark studied illustration, painting, design, life drawing, pottery, sculpture, and art history at Central Technical School in Toronto. Primarily a landscape painter, she depicts nature in a realist style with vibrant colours. She finds inspiration in seasonal shifts and explores the visual impact light and shadow have on everyday subjects. After painting in watercolour for over 25 years, she transitioned to oils, which offer a broad and brilliant colour palette, and make possible large format paintings that Clark could not previously achieve.

Clark’s paintings have been included in the annual juried show of the Canadian Society of painters in Watercolour, and in the annual London, ON Artists Studio Tour. She is a regular vendor at Stratford Art in the Park. She is represented by Art Rental Gallery and Artisan’s Alley Gallery in London, ON, and by Minerva Gallery in Aylmer, ON. Her work can be found on display in Stratford’s Across the Bridge Bed and Breakfast, in commercial collections, and in the collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. She lives, works, and volunteers at the Regional Art and Historical Museum in London, ON.
