Quentin Caron

Quentin Caron

Quentin Caron was born in Calgary, Alberta. He attended the Alberta College of Art and earned a Diploma of Applied Art in Painting. He also studied at the Croydon College of Art in London, England and earned his Master of Fine Art in Paint and Printmaking from Columbia University.

Through his paintings, Quentin explores unfamiliar worlds, nature and the relationships between the sexes. He also addresses issues like technology, progress and survival. Viewers may also see references to Quentin’s Calgary home, friends and family in his work.

Quentin has also worked as an exhibition artist, where he was involved with creating – specifically sculpting and painting – artificial environments for exhibits. Some of his clients included the Calgary Zoological Society, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, the Greater Los Angeles Zoo and the Central Park Zoo. His artwork has also been exhibited in Canada and Britain.
